Berlin-based English electronic musician Paul Rose, disguised under the moniker
of Scuba, moved away from the stereotypes of dubstep by incorporating the basic
elements of techno and some glitchy ambience on
A Mutual Antipathy (2008), his most ambitious work, and
Triangulation (2010), with You Got Me. After the single of
bass music Adrenalin (2011), he turned
to a more derivative brand of techno (i.e. vocals and synths instead of beats)
on Personality (Hotflush, 2012),
especially in NE1BUTU.
