Vespero

Russian prog-rock combo Vespero (guitarist Alexander Kuzovlev, keyboardist Alexei Klabukov, bassist Arkady Fedotov, violinist Valentin Rulev, and drummer Ivan Fedotov) debuted with Rito (RAIG, 2007), which already contains lengthy and brainy suites such as Triptych To The Falling Sun, Rito, Silence Breath Echo, and the 13-minute Ambience In Blue/ Altarage To The Thunder. This was followed by Surpassing All Kings (2009), with Glass Rainbow, The Tower and Serata; by By The Waters Of Tomorrow (2010) that also featured cellist Vladimir Belov; and by the six lengthy pieces of Subkraut U-Boats Willkommen Hier (2012), increasingly reminiscent of Ozric Tentacles.

Reed player Alexey Esin joined on Droga (RAIG, 2013), with Steppe, Thymus and Droga.

Fitful Slumber Until 5 AM (2015) contains the twelve-minute 3:50:18 - 4:02:15 Vision 1 Ogni Fuoco, the twelve-minute 4:17:37 - 4:29:59 Vision 4 1507, and the 14-minute 4:36:56 - 4:51:14 Vision 6 Atil, with Belov on cello and Pavel Alekseev on sax.

Lique Mekwas (2016) featured again Pavel Alexeev as well as violinist Vitaly Borodin and includes the 16-minute The Course Of Abagaz, besides Ras Dashen (9:31), Oromoo's Flashing Eyes (10:00), Abyssinian Ground (8:20), Isidore's Prophet (10:23), Follow the Fitawrari (8:49), The Emperor's Second Self (11:39).

The live Azmari Abyssinian Liventure (2016) contains a 17-minute version of The Course Of Abagaz from Lique Mekwas. Shum-Shir (2017) collects unreleased tracks.

Carta Marina (VMS, 2018) was a collaboration with Spanish guitarist Angel Ontalva of October Equus. It includes Sea Orm, the twelve-minute Carta Marina, the nine-minute Insula Magnetica, the eight-minute Horrenda Charybdis Near Lofoten, and the ten-minute Ziphius. The live Sea Orm Liventure (2019) was an appendix to that album.

The eleven-minute Feast Of Selenites is the highlight from Hollow Moon (Tonzonen, 2018).
